Is Acetaminophen In Pregnancy Linked To Behavioral Problems In Offspring?

Research on the use of acetaminophen to relieve pain and fever during pregnancy published in JAMA Pediatrics indicates the pain reliever may increase the risk of behavioral problems in children. Studies  carried out in Denmark and New Zealand have revealed higher levels of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) or ADHD-type symptoms in those whose mothers used the acetaminophen during pregnancy.
