brusing teethWhen assessing the cause of bad breath, the Mayo Clinic recommends that we have a look at the basics. Oral hygiene is dependent on brushing, flossing and rinsing the teeth on a regular basis.

Bad breath may persist even with these good oral hygiene behaviors. It could be an indication of underlying health problems. Some obvious causes of bad breath are:

i            Changing diet to coffee and garlic will cause bad breath.

ii            Presence of dental appliances in the mouth such as retainers and dentures.

iii            Failure to brush the tongue.

  • Diabetes ketoacidosis
  • Tonsil stones and tonsillitis
  • Chronic kidney failure
  • Late stage liver failure.

Formally The London Jewish Hospital, it is a purpose built modern building with full facilities, beautifully appointed rooms, state of the art laser systems and, in case anything goes wrong (it really shouldn't), a fully covered Consultant 24 hour ward and Intensive Care presence - the only private hospital in London to have this.
