Research has produced mixed results with regard to the safety of e-cigarettes. However, people are increasingly realizing that e-cigarettes are not a safer alternative to conventional cigarettes.
– More information is reaching the general public that the nicotine vapor released by e-cigarettes is not a healthier alternative.
– Awareness levels on e-cigarettes were reported to increase by about 17 percent between 2012 and 2014.
– Health professionals are concerned that e-cigarettes could make people to start smoking cigarettes.
The health effects of e-cigarettes remain unclear, the researchers cautioned. The products with flavoring and other ingredients that contain a chemical called diacetyl may be linked with lung conditions, such as bronchiolitis obliterans, or “popcorn lung.”
