New Psoriasis Drug Works Longer Term, Too

clean-skinResearchers have come up with a new drug that has shown exceptional effects against psoriasis, a skin condition. The drug named ixekizumab (Taltz) has been shown to work well even in the long-term.

The drug outdid other standard medication for moderate to severe psoriasis. Even after 60 weeks, the drug was still effective and about 80 percent of patients showed 75 percent improvement.

The drug is administered through injection and targets the inflammatory protein called IL-17.
