Allergies are the major cause of asthma. As a result, the immune system mounts a response to harmless substances such as grass pollen.
– The formation of immunoglobulin E (IgE) antibodies alongside inflammatory cells in the skin and mucous membranes is the cause of asthma.
– A new technique making use of IgEnio column suctions the IgE antibodies out of blood could help people with severe allergic asthma.
– Patients reported improve quality of life since they could breathe easily and had improved ling function.
Perhaps much more, because it has since been found that a combination of IgE absorption and control of asthma symptoms with the standard drug omalizumab (trade name: Xolair) can bring about a further improvement.
