Women are left bewildered when acne plagues them even into adulthood. What causes these annoying acne outbreaks?
– Research has revealed that adult acne risk factors are high stress levels, low fruit and vegetables and a family history of adult acne.
– Junk food has been shown to cause more acne outbreaks since they have a high glycemic index.
– Women tend to suffer from more adult acne outbreaks due to hormonal changes.
Women may get acne before their menstrual period, for example, or when they start or stop birth control pills, Jaliman said.
