Tonsil stones and tonsillitis

Tonsils can cause problems, even into adulthood. Tonsil stones are often the root of this. The old fashioned dissection tonsillectomy is extremely painful and can be quite dangerous. More modern intracapsular procedures are just as effective but much less damaging. When a vapourising laser is used, the procedure can be performed in a lunchtime using local anaesthetic spray only.
